That's a total of 5 intact teeth on the ring gear. Dear Lord that's destroyed. No matter, we managed to find a pristine one from a Lada breaker here and spent half of the day swapping it in :) can't check whether it's worked yet as it's 11:20 here and the battery's flat, but the odds are good :)

The cool thing is that there was a bearing in the new diff that had 'USSR' stamped on it :) pre-Gorbachev metallurgy seems to hold up better...
